Rebecca O’Shields, LCSW
About me
Hello there and thank you for stopping by!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with close to a decade of experience serving individuals with a variety of goals. Most of my experience has revolved around Substance Use Disorders, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder or other Trauma related disorders, Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Mood Disorders. I have primarily provided individual counseling but also have experience with couples, families, and groups.
I was born and raised in the South, so I approach each session with a warm and welcoming disposition. It's my goal that you feel comfortable to discuss what you need to without judgement or fear. I understand that YOU are the expert of your life and the answers are already inside of you; where I come in, is to assist you in finding those answers in order for you achieve the goals you are wanting for yourself and your life.
Many times, we place the needs and desires of others before our own, but the truth is, if we do not care for ourselves then we cannot give or do our best whether it is with work, relationships, hobbies, etc. The best gift you can give someone else is the best version of you. Let's make that happen- together.
I so look forward to meeting and getting to know you!
