My name is Rebecca (Becky) Parkey and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have licenses in Marriage and Family Therapy from the States of Missouri, Kansas, Alaska, and Nevada, and graduated from a COAMFT accredited Master’s program in Kansas. I have been working as a clinician, counseling individuals, couples, families, and groups on matters pertaining to addiction, family dynamics, parent-child interaction, couples communication, stress reduction, adjustment from military lifestyles, case management, treatment services and psycho-educational training programs. It has become my passion to help others with the life traumas, stresses, and circumstances that have come their way. I have extensive training in working with individuals who are suffering from everything from depression, to grief, to PTSD due to trauma.
I have multiple evidence based therapies that I am certified in for depression, anxiety, trauma and addiction. I believe in a recovery based approach. I know, life problems, and both past and present traumas, can be worked through; and people have an innate resiliency. As a therapist, I work with a very diverse population, and value cultural competence. I believe that it is important for each person to have their culture and background respected and valued by their provider. I will always work to respect and integrate a client's cultural preference into their therapy.

Rebecca Parkey is very good at her job. She explains every part of the process which is something I appreciate immensely. She responds very promptly and is very supportive.
Rebecca is everything a counselor should be: professional, interested, kind, relatable, incisive, intuitive, armed with relevant resources, and clearly knows her stuff. She is able to synthesize information rapidly, read the room and put patients at ease. She also manages the technology of BetterHelp pretty seamlessly which is a big plus in the Covid era.
So far so great!
Rebecca really listens to what I'm saying and is quick to respond to messages. She takes the time to really understand what is going on mentally with me and helps give me guidance on how to respond to situations through worksheets and books. I felt a great weight on me before I started counseling and now I feel like that weight has gotten much lighter and easier to manage.
