Becky has been incredibly helpful. I appreciate that she encourages me to see things from a different perspective that maybe I hadn't considered, and also that she points out the progress I have made. Rebecca Rice is a phenomenal counselor and she is the best therapist I have ever experienced! Anybody who has her in their life is so blessed. The reason I say this is because she is an excellent communicator who cares deeply and it’s precious that she has years of deep experience in her field from all age groups, many situations, including working with psychiatrists. She also replies my messages timely, even though she is so busy. Rebecca is also intelligent and quick witted. She is insightful as to what might be the root of the clients’ psychological stressors, gives a name to what they might be experiencing and also ask the client to do more research on the term to see if it fits with what they have. I feel this is so empowering for her to do, to encourage the client to develop proactive habits of self education. I also love that Rebecca taught me on day one of our first meeting that to tell her if she is ever doing something that I don’t feel comfortable with, or if she is ever talking about something that I don’t understand, that I can stop her and ask for for clarification. This is again amazing of Rebecca because she is showcasing a great example to clients on how a pro communication looks like, how empowered healthy relationships look like, and how one individual can confidently communicate to another on difficult subjects. Doesn’t matter if what they are feeling has lots of grey areas in it, Rebecca shows that it is okay to bring that up and tease it out together. I’m so grateful that Rebecca taught me how to communicate through her setting a good example via her actions. I’ve even started communicating better and more proactively with my husband, who has also learned better from seeing how I talk to him and how I improve my life. Rebecca’s positive actions are creating a positive influence in my personal life, so I’m very lucky to have her. Rebecca also frequently replies to my texts outside our video meeting each day. I’m even surprised when she replies on a Saturday, and hope she’s not working too hard because of my mental issues. Last but not least, I’m also very grateful that Rebecca keeps me busy with worksheets that target my personal issues. They are fun, and I gain so much self understanding from doing these worksheets. I also love how Rebecca bring my answers from these worksheets into our meetings for discussion, along with the social problems that I’m experiencing each week. She helped me be a more savvy problem solver especially when I’m facing social problems which I keep experiencing for years…. I finally know how to stop the toxic cycle and bad habits because of Rebecca’s help and advice. I want to say I’m so blessed to have Rebecca. After experiencing lots of therapists who don’t care who were provided to me through my insurance and being frustrated by the traditional mental health system where every meeting takes ages to book and no serious progress was done each meeting, by contrast, Rebecca is a rare gem whom I’m so thankful to be connected to.
