About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 9 years of experience in community mental health. I have worked with clients with a range of issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts/behaviors, mania, psychosis, delusions, trauma, non-suicidal self-harm, poverty, and homelessness.

I would like to give you a little bit of information about my therapy style. I view you as the expert on yourself, not me. My job is to work with you to help you reach your
goals. I can use my knowledge of mental health to guide you, but I will never make decisions for you or tell you what you should do, we are a team. That does not mean I will not help you brainstorm options to help improve your situation for you. I will explain the main therapy model I would like to utilize and why. I will allow you to decide if you feel good about utilizing that intervention. If you do not feel good about it, then we can discuss other treatment options. It is no different than if you go to a medical doctor and they provide options for treatment, with you making the final decision. If you feel like I am not the right therapist for you, then that is okay! I would rather you try a new therapist than give up on therapy altogether. Not everyone is a good match in therapy, and that is 100% okay. I want you to get the best care, even if that means it is not with me.

Thank you so much for thinking about trusting me with your current struggles. It takes so much courage to even think about reaching out to a therapist. You have taken the first step to helping yourself feel better about yourself. I hope that I have the privilege of working with you to meet your goals and help you feel better about your current situation.

I look forward to meeting you!

Rebecca is super understanding and she is absolutely wonderful at listening. I could go on a 30 minute rant and she would let me get it all out and then help me understand my thoughts or why I’m feeling that way. I definitely recommend Rebecca for people who have anxiety, depression, and mood swings.
