Hello! I am Rebecca Short, a Licensed Marriage & Family therapist in Georgia certified as a Clinical Telemental Health Provider Cert#141468. I have been practicing for over five years. I am particularly interested in helping those who are in key transition phases of their lives such as middle age, being a caregiver, and entering retirement. I also have a special connection with those experiencing grief, facing terminal illness, those involved in caregiving of family members, and those coping with chronic pain in their own lives, especially fibromyalgia.
My clients are courageous, brave, and determined to make meaning in their life. My clients are tired of hurting. They are looking for someone to accompany them on this journey who understands what it’s like to be in their shoes and honors that knowledge with empathy and respect. It would be a privilege to be that person to accompany you.

There are not enough great things to say about her. She is the most sincere and amazing therapist that has helped me in so many ways.
I just had my first session last week and it helped me so much. While I did feel like I’d been hit with a Mack truck afterwards, I know it’s because I was so open with my emotions. She made me feel safe and heard.
Rebecca has been an amazing support for me in my life. I initially started therapy for my own past traumas and to learn how to cope but began having relationship issues which has taken over our last few sessions. She gave me the steps and courage to leave and I couldn't be more thankful. I can't wait to see how much more she helps me. She is the best!!
Very kind and understanding and listens well. Offers good advice.
Rebecca is the best therapist I have ever had. She was kind, validating, a wonderful listener. She asked poignant questions and gave me the tools I needed to put things into context and to make connections I had not previously seen. She greatly helped me and I am so grateful to her. If I could give her a six star review I would!
She’s so sweet. She really takes the time to listen and find out what ways you are comfortable with communicating. She asked me what I think I need and i’ve never been asked that before. it was a nice change. it made me feel comfortable and secure talking to her. i really really appreciate her as a counselor and just generally as a person.
I found Rebecca through Betterhelp at one of my worst lows especially during the pandemic and after struggling to find a new therapist. From the start of the session Rebecca put me at ease and really made it easy for me to open up and work through some of the current situations that were incredibly stressful for me. When we finished our session I had an immense weight lifted and a great sense of relief knowing I was going to have the tools to work through my guilt, anxiety, and ADHD as well as a person truly in my corner. Rebecca was able to give me a lot of suggestions for material I could read in between sessions and really listened to what hasn't worked for me in the past so she could tailor my sessions to my specific needs. I'm really happy I was paired with her and looking forward to continuing our sessions!
