About me

Hello! I am Rebecca Short, a Licensed Marriage & Family therapist in Georgia certified as a Clinical Telemental Health Provider Cert#141468. I have been practicing for over five years. I am particularly interested in helping those who are in key transition phases of their lives such as middle age, being a caregiver, and entering retirement. I also have a special connection with those experiencing grief, facing terminal illness, those involved in caregiving of family members, and those coping with chronic pain in their own lives, especially fibromyalgia.

My clients are courageous, brave, and determined to make meaning in their life. My clients are tired of hurting. They are looking for someone to accompany them on this journey who understands what it’s like to be in their shoes and honors that knowledge with empathy and respect. It would be a privilege to be that person to accompany you.

Rebecca was great at affirming my needs. However it did seem like we lost track of communication and contact over time.

Talking with Miss Rebecca Short is really comforting and you can tell she cares. She offers many alternatives to everything and responds in a timely manner. If I could rate her out of 5 stars she would get 6. Looking forward to talking with her some more in the future!

There are not enough great things to say about her. She is the most sincere and amazing therapist that has helped me in so many ways.

I just had my first session last week and it helped me so much. While I did feel like I’d been hit with a Mack truck afterwards, I know it’s because I was so open with my emotions. She made me feel safe and heard.

Rebecca has been an amazing support for me in my life. I initially started therapy for my own past traumas and to learn how to cope but began having relationship issues which has taken over our last few sessions. She gave me the steps and courage to leave and I couldn't be more thankful. I can't wait to see how much more she helps me. She is the best!!
