About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas with over 8 years of experience in direct and indirect services through counseling, prevention, and education. I have worked with adults, couples, parents, and the aging population. I have helped clients with challenges surrounding communication, stress, anxiety, relationships, coping with change, and grief.

I have worked in a broad range of settings including research programs, community health services, medical treatment facilities, and in private homes. Having worked one-on-one and also for larger organizations and communities, I understand how each individual’s well-being affects and is influenced by our society and culture. I trust in our individual abilities to heal and thrive emotionally and physically, through loving guidance and support. I also believe that the world’s capacity for change and good begins with treating ourselves with love and kindness. Accepting help to work through life’s transitions through strengthening our skill set is one way to do that.

My therapeutic approach draws influence from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness. I have had success working with parents who feel frustrated, couples interested in enhancing their relationship, and young, middle-aged, or aging adults who want to learn how to better manage stress and anxiety or are moving on to new phases of life. These phases might include young adults needing help with stress-management or dealing with a difficult work situation, single adults seeking relationship guidance, newlyweds hoping to build a healthy marriage, parents wanting tool for dealing with their child's behavior or childhood development, or even empty nesters looking for new paths and identities. I believe in meeting clients where they are and providing them with tools to build on their own strengths. I offer this with sincere empathy and compassion and without judgment.

I recognize and deeply admire the courage to ask for help or educate oneself through helping professionals and other resources. If you are ready to take that step, I am here and look forward to providing you education, encouragement, and support.
