All people experience difficulties and challenges at some point in their lives. Working through the challenges of creating a more fulfilling and happier life can be both difficult and rewarding. I appreciate the courage needed to take those first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I will provide a safe space for you, and I am here to support you and help you become empowered.
I have 12 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Pennsylvania and Ohio. I completed my Ph.D. at Duquesne University and my Master’s degree at Youngstown State University. I have helped people with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship and family issues, career challenges, decision-making and problem-solving, attachment issues, and gender and sexual orientation. I have also helped people improve their self-esteem and self-confidence. Other related experience includes teaching clinical mental health counseling to graduate students.
My counseling style is warm and interactive and is grounded in a wellness and strength-based approach. I view clients through a developmental lens. I use an eclectic style and techniques to meet people where they are and to best match their unique needs and perspectives. While helping people develop tools and skills to empower them and help them achieve their goals, I support people through their process and share their journey. Empathy, compassion, trust, and respect are cornerstones of my approach.
Together, we can get you on the path to create the you and the life that you want! I look forward to working with you!

I really appreciate Dr. Anderson. She is very kind and supportive as we try to process a lot of traumatic events and feelings. I’ve had therapy before as a teen, and while how they worked with me was helpful, I feel confident that the process Dr. Anderson is having me start is finally going to get to the root of my issues. I’m very hopeful that this will make a profound and very positive affect in my life.
I can not express the help and concern she gives me and trying to help me understand myself and my situation.
Dr. Anderson is very knowledgeable and empathetic. She is easy to talk too. She helped me get through my divorce and parenting issues.
Very helpful. Great listener. Good strategy suggestions. Has really helped with issues in a friendly, supportive way.
I've had Renee Anderson for a couple weeks now and have nothing but good things to say. Our video chat was incredibly helpful and she checks in on me and makes sure I'm ok.
