Renee Guerrieri, LCSW
About me
I graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana with a Masters Degree in Social Work in 1997. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida with 27 years of experience providing mental health counseling to a wide range of clients. I am skilled at providing individual, marital/relationship, and family therapy.
I am certified to provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I am also trained in and experienced in providing psycho-educational sessions focusing on effective communication skills, “fair fighting” for intimate relationships, re-establishing trust and increasing intimacy in relationships, coping skills for most life stages, social skills, and more. If you have a specific need or request, just ask and if I am trained/experienced in it, I will be happy to help; if not, I will refer you to another provider.
For the last 18 years, I have worked with active duty military members, Veterans, and their families. I have a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges they face. I have extensive experience in helping all my clients better cope with issues related to grief and loss, parenting, adjustment, and intimate relationships.
I treat all my clients with dignity, respect, and compassion as well as with an unconditional positive regard. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy takes courage and I am proud of you for getting started. I look forward to meeting you and to working with you soon!
