About me

Welcome! You have taken your first step to improving your life. This is probably the hardest step you've had to take and I'm proud of you for doing so. I look forward to assisting you on this journey.

I am Rhonda Soirez, MA LPC Ed.S.. I completed my Master's in Professional Counseling at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and my Ed.S. at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). I have extensive experience with children and families. While at Liberty, I volunteered at the pregnancy care center as a counselor. There, I worked with pregnant women seeking assistance due to less than ideal circumstances. I have also worked with couples in Christian counseling. Liberty is a Christian University, therefore the majority of my counseling training was in using a Biblical approach. However, it has been my experience that this approach is not for everyone. I am open minded and tailor my approach to the individual. My motto is that I leave my own personal beliefs outside the door when working with clients. Therapy sessions are not about me, they are about you, your situation, and what is preventing you from enjoying life. I am licensed in North Carolina.

I view therapy as a collaboration between you and your therapist. It is my duty to walk along side you in your journey through life's difficulties. Together, we will brainstorm solutions. I will be there to encourage, listen, and maybe even challenge you as you choose your path. I use a variety of methods to help you achieve your goals and am a firm believer in creativity through art, music, and writing as well as the use of nature and mindfulness. You become a vital component of the therapeutic process and I value your input as to what is working for you.

I have experience in working with those with trauma and stressful circumstances, attachment and relationship issues, family conflict, parenting problems, depression and anxiety. I have assisted in fostering and adoptive situations, ADHD, PTSD, and Autism and acknowledge the challenges associated with them. I look forward to partnering with you as you seek a brighter tomorrow!

Rhonda was very professional & kind. She went above & beyond & checked up on me throughout the week. She cares & it shows.
