I would highly recommend Rick Fulton. He helped me out at a difficult time. Tried to bring awareness even if I wasn't fully ready to see it. He listened carefully and quickly gained a sense of my situation. He was patient yet tried to help me refocus when my mind kept going in circles.

I consider myself very lucky to have found Rick on BetterHelp. Rick is very attentive, caring and such a very good listener. I was very skeptical with counseling at first but after a month talking to Rick I feel so much better and I learned a lot about myself. Rick is such a professional but I feel that he’s also my friend. It’s always a pleasure to talk to him. He believes in me even though I didn’t believe in myself. His help means so much more to me than he knows. I would recommend Rick with all my heart. I wish I could met Rick someday to give him a hug and say my sincere gratitude.

He's a very insightful man who helps you figure out what your problems are quickly and how to fix them. Even though he can be very forward with his thoughts, they usually contain a lot of wisdom in them.

Rick is very professional and great at his job. Always has the right exercises to do and the right words and questions to ask myself for me to find my path I need to move forward. When going gets rough is very supportive, understanding and helps me find my inner strength to not fall too hard and pick myself up quickly. I strongly recommend him as a therapist!

My therapy with Rick just started, but the very first correspondence put me at ease. There was no judgment, only helpful advice. Rick will alleviate any reservations you have about continuing online therapy.

Written by T.. on Jan 15, 2018 after counseling with Rick for 3 months on issues concerning stress, anxiety, grief, intimacy-related, and eating

I worked with Rick for about three months and he truly changed my life. He not only helped with the issues I have around grief and anxiety, but he was also able to pinpoint some issues I have with OCD and growing up in an alcoholic home. I now have a better understanding of why I do the things I do, so I can be more cognizant of my future behavior. Rick also gave me some techniques that I'll continue to use on a daily basis. I feel a thousand times better and more at ease than I did before Rick and I first connected. I can't say enough good things about working with Rick. I would reach out to him again in a heartbeat and would definitely refer my friends.

I absolutely loved talking to Rick. He is one of my all time favorite counselors. He helped me so much in the few months I talked to him. He’s very smart and has very trusted resources to provide excellent therapy. I’m a very hard patient to work with and deal with and Rick has helped me more than all of my therapists I’ve had over the 10 years of dealing with my mental illnesses. And I recently got diagnosed with BPD and all the resources Rick gave me have helped me more than the past programs I’ve tried. Thank you so much Rick your amazing!

Rick Fulton has proven to be a very helpful person for me this year. When I signed up, I was an emotional wreck due to family turmoil, a divorce, and losing my job. He helped me sort through my many feelings, gave me great advice, and provided resources I didn't even know to Google for. I feel stronger having been heard and know what to do in emotional crisis situations. Sometimes all we need is for someone to listen, non-judgementally, and tell us it won't always be this way. Dark times don't last forever. Highly recommend him if you need an experienced, kind ear.

Rick quickly identified the issues I was having and gave me the tools to improve my mental health. His weekly live sessions were a great way to talk about what was going on right in that moment instead of being able to censor my thoughts. Rick is also great at understanding situational issues and was able to help advise me through tough times. I'm not as anxious as I was before and now instead of having a lot of tools that lead to worse, I have a handful of tools that improve my life even more. Thanks Rick!

He has been excellent in keeping me focused on the real problems suggesting prayers and meditation along with cognitive assessment. My fiance and I saw Rick for couples therapy and though it was not his area of expertise, he was very patient and helped us work on some of our communication issues. He also gave some good insight that one may not necessarily have if seeing a counselor who only specializes in couples, so it was a valuable experience.

Written by T.I on Feb 03, 2017 after counseling with Rick for 2 days on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship, intimacy-related, eating, and self esteem

I’m a pharmacy student and have had struggles with anxiety, depression, and shutting down often. Our school pays for free counseling, but with our schedules as a student and the office’s packed schedule, it was hard to see a therapist as regularly as I needed to. I often had break downs from stress and was emotionally shut down. I had gone a few times, but I didn’t feel like anything was that great.

By having an open dialogue with Rick Fulton, in just over 1 month, I was able to realize what the source of my issues were. I know how to get better and will continue to work on it. He made it relatable! I am a bookworm and nerdy and it he explained it to me in my language. I am getting better, I am more calm. I still have moments, but I have been able to avoid medications and all their horrible side effects. Like I mentioned before, I am a pharmacy student and would rather not have to take an antidepressant or antianxiety medication.

It’s work, but I never thought I would have a chance at overcoming my anxiety/depression that is so closely linked to my past.

Rick’s help has not only helped me in my personal life, but also to become a more well-rounded practitioner with better professional relationships- which means that I can truly become the best for patients!

Great, practical therapist. Not a lot of "fluff". Rick helped me make huge breakthroughs on problems that had been haunting me for years, and we did that in a short period of time. Never have I felt such gratitude to someone I have never met in person. Thanks Rick-You're the best!
PS: In my case, I think the initial anonymity of online therapy allowed me to more easily talk about my problems. Don't know that I would have ever visited a therapist in person.

Rick has been incredibly insightful and I really feel that I can openly express myself with him. He always responds quickly and his feedback is almost always helpful. And he is non-judgmental. I feel comfortable talking with him and it truly helps me in my day to day life. I appreciate Rick, and this service, very much. I am not sure that I ever would have gone into a physical office to meet with a counselor so this has been a big step for me.

Written by J.U on Dec 29, 2014 after counseling with Rick for 2 months on issues concerning stress, anxiety, addictions, relationship, self esteem, career, and depression

Rick was a great counselor for me! He is honest without being judgmental, so it was very easy to be open with him. He has given me some really concrete tools to deal with anxiety and to help me feel more confident. He's also given me thoughtful advice to help me deal with more specific issues that have come up in my life including relationship changes, leaving my job, and moving out of state.
I've very much appreciated Rick's timely responses to my messages (usually he responds within the hour, even though we're in different time zones!), and I've also really liked the fact that he checks in when he hasn't heard from me in a few days (but never in an obtrusive way).
Rick is the kind of counselor I've been looking for for years, and I would highly recommend him.

Written by L.A on Nov 06, 2014 after counseling with Rick for 3 months on issues concerning relationship, family, and self esteem

I've been working with Rick for about 4 months now. He immediately answered some questions that had been plaguing me for years. Since that time, Rick has been a great sounding board and guide where problems in my marriage are concerned. The use of the Internet as a medium by which to communicate is great because I can do it entirely in my own time, and more specifically, when I need it. I've also found that writing helps me organize my thoughts. I would recommend Rick as a therapist to anyone who is having marital or relationship issues.

I started texting Rick last month he hit my problem right away I I am feeling better. He has told me to how to work on myself. I have a long way to go but I am sure Rick will get me through. This texting is great for me as I am starting to be agoraphobic so I can get help without going out. I highly recommend Rick he has given me hope when I was hopeless.
