About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina with 15 years experience helping people to experience all that life has to offer. I have experience working with the geriatric population as well as their caregivers, depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, dealing with change, and domestic violence. An area of interest that I specialize in is post-abortive therapy. I have a background in Christian counseling but offer non-judgmental, caring guidance to those individuals that I see. My approach is solution-focused, client-centered, and strengths-based relying heavily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also focus on Reality Testing Therapy.

When working with clients, my desire is to provide a warm, welcoming environment where my clients feel comfortable discussing anything they need help with. My goal is to create an experience that is genuine, caring, and safe. I believe that you are the expert in your story and that your story is important. You have the ability to overcome life's challenges and I am just the vehicle to help you do so. It is my pleasure to meet you and start on the journey to better mental health.

Ricky‘s been great I’ve only been working her with a short amount of time but she’s incredibly kind and fun to talk to. I feel like I can have a conversation with her and not be interrupted or cut off or judged!
