About me

My experience with individual and couples counseling began in 1979 and I am currently practicing. I have established a therapeutic relationship with many different types of clients. Certifications: Neurolinguistic Programming and Advanced Hypnotherapist. I possess an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in SC. MA Degree in Counseling Psychology. Training: Structural Strategic Methods with families and couples.

I have an easy going, relaxed style that does not pressure the client. My Belief is that the clients are involved in their own treatment. I also believe in various terms of therapy and guiding clients to symptom relief and reaching their goals. My focus involves many modalities/styles. I do refer clients as necessary.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that first step, I am here to support and guide you.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Robert Bryant. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

He was a wonderful therapist! He focused on cognitive behavior. I liked that we did not focus on just chatting about issues (I can do that with friends), but true ways to improve my mental health. He was excellent at listening to my issues and reframing my negative thoughts through a difficult time in my life. He had excellent availability and would always ensure I had an appointment so I would stick with therapy and work on improving myself. I will absolutely go back if I start feeling depressed again!

My time with Robert has been enlightening and helpful. He listened to my concerns and asked questions that opened me to a different angle in my situation to consider. As a result, I saw the need to work on my approach and the way I handle and respond to rising events. When thoughts or practices go "un-checked", life can spiral into a potentially irreversible direction. I am glad that Robert came into my life when he did. Robert, I appreciate your input and the time you have spent with me. GOD bless you.

I have only seen Bob for 3 sessions, and boy has he helped me! He is someone that was born to be a therapist. I struggled to find someone that could help me with cognitive distortions and changing my perspective. I am so grateful he has really made a huge difference in my life!

I haven't seen him for long enough to really be honest enough to say much other than I appreciate him working with me. I know that can't be easy. I also know that when I was getting worked up and my brain was on overload, he stopped me from having a panic attack by using a tapping and breathing technique that really helped me to calm my body and my mind. He also cared enough to give me some homework in the meantime until I see him again that would help me to stay calm and gain perspective. It isn't easy but it makes me feel like he really does care about his patients and doesn't just talk about helping but actually does help.
