I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been providing individual and group therapy for nearly ten years. Over the past decade, I’ve provided much support and counseling to a wide range of people struggling through the many transitions that accompany the ordinary life. My experience spans from identifying triggers to distressing and uncomfortable feelings including depression and anxiety and work to develop, identify, and utilizing different techniques to feel better. Additionally, I’ve worked to help improve interpersonal and communication skills, identify ways to strengthen relationships between people, process through day-to-day struggles like career challenges or even assisting people to process through the various stages of grief feeling following the loss of a loved one.
When counseling people, I tend to take a more warm and calming approach. I like to collaborate with who I’m working with to identify the areas where he or she is struggling and together, develop ways to work through them. From a theoretical standpoint, I tend to favor an object relations approach with a combination of brief-solution focused and strengths perspective. Essentially, this means that I help people to better understanding why they sometimes experience strong feelings and fall into similar patterns without knowing why even if they are sometimes distressing.
Speaking from a personal perspective, asking for help and assistance can be a very difficult thing. The fact that you’re here makes me happy to see that you’ve made the first step and I look forward to working together to get through the difficult times.

Robert has been an excellent help, even in just a week. He clearly listens to every aspect of what I need help with and offers excellent advice. Sometimes he does take a little longer to respond, but I know it's only because he's being extremely thorough in reading what I've written. Wonderful guy!
I've only been working with Dr. Cline for about a month, but the help he's given me has been amazing. I've tried other counseling in the past, and have found myself giving up hope of getting help after a few weeks, but I actively look forward to getting the email alert that Dr. Cline has responded to my last post. He's very intuitive and good at reading between the lines of what you tell him to determine what issues need to be focused on. I'm excited to continue working with him and am very hopeful that he will provide all the help I was searching for when I came to BetterHelp.
Robert has helped me through a whole lot of personal stuff. It's been invaluable having someone to listen and help me to keep a level head through some impactful decisions and long-term pursuits.
Dr.Cline is really good- he takes the time and really tries to understand what you are saying and also that you understand what he is saying in return. His communication is excellent.
Robert tries to get to know the client and what his/her needs are. He has good intuition and can understand unspoken issues.
Robert Cline treated me with the utmost respect and delivered outstanding counseling services (via phone calls, audio only) to me during an extremely difficult time of my life. Robert has been a very easy-going and understanding therapist, and he has a wealth of info that he shares any time I'm unsure about something. He is easy to speak to, very approachable, and responds within 24-48hrs like clockwork. Thanks Rob!
Mr. Cline always responds with information that is helpful to my situation. He offers non-judgmental and practical advice. It's like having a personal guide through life.
Robert is a wonderful counselor. He has introduced a fresh perspective to the issues we have discussed which has been so helpful. He is empathetic, kind and always seems to know the right thing to say. He has a great sense of humor and keeps me laughing. I appreciate Robert so much and look forward to continuing to work with him to improve my current situation.
