I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in New Jersey, with 15 years experience as a psychotherapist, 30 years of involvement in recovery and 15 years as a holistic martial arts instructor.
I have worked successfully with clients who have presented with a variety of issues and concerns including anxiety, depression, anger, career, relationships, self-esteem, trauma, fear, addictions...usually in combination for most people.
In consideration of each client's personality and learning style, I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches specifically tailored to each situation, that are solution-focused with an emphasis on client participation.
My counseling style is accepting and supportive. Our shared goal will be an honest and accurate appraisal of your issues and concerns, followed by a strategic plan to address them and the development of a skill set that will serve you going forward. We will be looking for simple and durable changes. You will have a new outlook and some experience in putting your healthy insights into practice.
