About me

I'm Robert Woods and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina where I have more than 12 years of experience providing counseling services as an LPC, National Certified Counselor, and Professional School Counselor. I have experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, LGBTQ issues, family conflict, and many more.

My counseling style and approach is one of open, positive communication where the relationship between counselor and client is paramount. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and able to achieve YOUR goals through open and honest communication. You will be heard, You will be validated, You will be valued. Whatever issues you are dealing with are not ones that need to addressed alone. I'm here to help.

Very often one of the the most fulfilling parts of therapy and counseling is simply deciding to take that first step and seek assistance. I'm proud of you for taking that first step. Now, lets get through this together!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Robert Woods Jr. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Robert is one of the most compassionate and understanding counselors I’ve ever had and I have had several. He is great at holding me accountable to our sessions, available when I need him, open to hearing new ideas and educated in his work for me and in my sessions.

From day one he has made it clear that my sessions are about me and he is only here to help me. This is vital in the stage of recovery that I’m in where I need to not only hear that I am worthy and loved but to feel it and he makes sure I know and believe that.

I very much appreciate Robert and his knowledge, time, patience and his style of therapy which makes it all the more easy to continue to do the work and take the steps needed to improve myself and my quality of life.
