Hello, I'm so happy you have decided to seek support. Life can be overwhelming at times and getting support is a powerful choice. Often when we look at things together, that seemingly unsolvable knot starts to unravel and the way is clear to move ahead. Many seemingly unpleasant feelings and behaviors you may be experiencing (pain, anxiety, confusion, depression, etc.) are an attempt by some part of us to call awareness to what needs attention. Many feelings and behaviors were once valid functional survival responses - they just don't work anymore and we need to develop new strategies for doing life.
I am a Clinical Social Worker with 25+ years of psychotherapy experience. I graduated from Jane Addams College of Social Work at University of Illinois. I've worked extensively with a variety of clients. I create a nurturing intimate space for the therapy work. I believe each person is worthy of respect, non-judgment, and compassion. I believe we can't be separated into parts - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. We are whole beings and must be treated as such. I believe people are unique and wonderful. We don't fit into molds and boxes.
My approach is client-centered, that means YOU centered. One size does not fit all, so I use an integrative approach incorporating various therapeutic models with your healing in mind. Some of these are cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, rational-emotive, and internal family systems.
I look forward to working with you.

Roberta has been wonderful and has helped me navigate a very challenging issue. Thank you Roberta for your skill and compassion.
Roberta is very professional and kind, she helps me a lot figuring things out while listening and trying to understand.
I am very happy with our work
I was “matched” with Roberta after deciding to give BetterHelp a go. Initially I was apprehensive about not being able to meet this person in-person. However, Roberta has been amazingly helpful and I am grateful for her. Working through things with her has been such a great journey so far!
She's amazing, very professional, kind, empathetic and knowledgeable.
Roberta is kind, warm, intelligent, experienced and intuitive. She's basically everything you want a great counselor to be. I felt instantly comfortable with her and in just a couple of sessions have said things to her I've never said to anyone--things I needed to say, and have never felt safe discussing with anyone. I feel completely safe with Roberta. I'm very grateful that I found her.
Roberta is such a patient, nonjudgmental person who always listens, asks the most profound questions that lead to personal epiphanies, and she never wastes our session times; she gets down to business and is proactive with each meeting by providing insightful ideas and exercises to practice at home that greatly benefit my mental health. She's an amazing therapist!
Roberta has been very helpful in a short period of time. She addresses issues in a timely manner.
Roberta is attentive and helpful. She is professional and kind and has been great at checking in on me.
This woman is excellent, she sees right to the point immediately and is very supportive.
