About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapy, with 14 years post graduate experience and 20 years in the behavioral health field. Through my many years of years of experience I have worked with children, adolescent and adults with various diagnosis and levels of functioning, such as developmental, psychiatric and substance use disorders, who seek assistance in managing symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention deficit Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship and Family issues, Employment challenges, Relapse Prevention and Trauma Issues.

Through the use of culturally sensitive, person-centered, strength-based, existential, cognitive behavioral, solution focused approach, I foster a collaborative relationship with clear goals geared to improving an individual’s overall quality of life by attaining a healthy balance of mind, body and spirit. I would very much like the opportunity to meet you, listen to you and provide support as needed. I am positive that with my skill-sets and your knowledge of yourself, we will have a meaningful and successful outcome.

I am happy that you reached out for help. Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I am Robin Angoy, a licensed therapist. You can read more about my background, education, experience, and counseling approach by clicking on my name on this page. I understand that the therapeutic process is an important one to healing and finding solutions to the reasons you sought counseling. It requires a rapport, meaningful time, and the ability to connect. I have been a counselor for over a decade and usually provide counseling in an office setting. As we evolve, the online modality is new and exciting one, but to provide the best outcome and blend of the online and traditional process; I prefer to work the following way. Once the initial introductions are made, I will schedule a video session with you. After this initial video session, you can decide if you want to continue video weekly, or chat, or phone. But I require an initial video session to establish this counseling relationship. In between scheduled sessions, you can text me and I will respond to your messages as soon as possible, but within 24 hours. I generally respond at least once a day. Please keep in mind that depending on your time zone, I may be ahead or behind your time, and my response may seem delayed base on this difference.

I am currently available for sessions on the following days: The times listed are EST.
Tuesday 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Thursday 7:00 pm to 10:00pm

Robin has been great in prompting me to think about myself and to look at my situation with perspective.

Written by S.U. on May 21, 2021 after therapy with Robin for 10 months on issues concerning stress, anxiety, self esteem, anger management, and coping with life changes

Robin is warm empathetic person but also very knowledgeable and can offer advice across many ways to cope with life’s problems. She has changed my view of myself and has made me feel like a worthwhile person just as i am, without all the improvements that could be made. She has helped me to be much more resilient in the face of life’s ongoing relentless challenges and to find some peace, clarity and optimism. I would highly recommend!
