I have over a decade of experience in the mental health field which includes training and supervision in a variety of settings. At the Eating Disorder Center at San Antonio (EDCASA), I worked as the director of the Binge Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). I also worked in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at EDCASA working with a variety of clients who had varying degrees of disordered eating. Currently, in addition to a private practice, I am a Program Director and Intake Coordinator at the Esperanza Eating Disorders Center in San Antonio. I am dedicated to assisting each of my clients find their own path, the path that leads to hope and the ability to access inner-resilience. I absolutely believe that we all have the answers to solve problems and become "un-stuck" in life. As a professional counselor, I know collaborative relationships between therapist and client are essential.
My experience includes LGBTQ issues, eating disorders, personality disorders, clinical depression, anxiety, OCD, complex trauma and addiction. Along with Solution-Focused Therapy, I have intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
I believe in the power of guided imagery meditation and mindfulness as tools of maintaining optimal psychological health. The human spirit is indestructible in the face of seemingly insurmountable trauma and difficulty and I can help clients find the power and hope to keep fighting.
I look forward to working with you.

Dr. Holder has been great. He’s got a great bedside manner. He’s compassionate and honest. I really appreciate the good boundaries he sets. He responds to all my messages and journals. Face time has worked out so well for me. It’s so convenient to have my visits from any location I choose.
Dr.Holder is fantastic. My journey is not easy, but it is worth it. There was a time when I didn’t believe that.. I’m really thankful to have Dr. Holder help me through all of this.
10 out of 5 stars. ✨
Dr. Holder is a fantastic counselor. He not only provides me a safe space to talk about difficult emotions, but provides resources that have made a tangible difference in my life. With Dr. Holder in my corner I feel more confident overcoming the challenges in my life. I am on a better path in life because of him, and for that I am immensely grateful.
Dr. Holder is very helpful and always responds. Very supportive.
He listens, he’s positive, I’ve gotten so much from working with him.
Dr. Holder does a fantastic job of listening and being supportive, as well as guiding through growth and developing coping skills. If his suggestions don't work for any reason, he modifies them and looks for a new route instead of insisting on them. He is kind and attentive while also gently pushing for improvement. He is the best counselor I have ever had.
He is really great as a therapist. He is kind and patient, and gives the best guidance on how to resolve any tensions you may have. He really helps me to be more reflective and introspective of how I am feeling. I highly recommend him!
Dr. Holder quickly got on the same page with me even though it was by chat (at my request). I appreciate his validation, suggestions, and adaptability. I plan to continue with him as long as I need therapy.
