About me

As a therapist I have 20+ yrs. of experience in finding solutions to life's changes and challenges that often result in anxiety, depression and stress. I work collaboratively with individuals to build upon existing strengths to overcome obstacles. I want for others what they want for themselves; to be both content and happy in life.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and straightforward with honest communication. I bring kindness, compassion, and humor to the counseling process and work from a strengths-based perspective to help you explore issues interfering with your happiness, relationships, or feeling good about yourself or your life.

Depending on what you are looking for I'll draw from a variety of theories in our work together including:

-Psychodynamic - Exploring how childhood experiences are affecting current relationships and behaviors.

-Humanistic Perspective- This is a holistic perspective that attributes human characteristics and actions to free will and an innate drive for self-actualization.

-Gottman Method - A research-supported therapy for conflict resolution.

-Solution Focused Therapy - Helping you to begin to make changes in the direction you'd like your life to be going in.

-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- This is a solution-focused approach to treatment, oriented toward solving problems and learning skills, helping clients overcome their difficulties by changing their thinking, behavior, and emotional responses.

I am so looking forward to meeting and working with you!
