About me
Welcome to Better Help – you’ve taken the first step in changing your situation and I know how hard that can be. My name is Rose Neugroschel and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the District of Columbia and in the state of Colorado. I earned my Master of Social Work degree in the clinical concentration from the Catholic University of America in 2015.
Research indicates that the therapeutic relationship is the number one predictor of treatment success; establishing that relationship is what I aim to do. I take a non-judgmental approach and aim to create a safe space for my clients using my genuineness, respectfulness, and innate curiosity to hear your story. Although I take an eclectic approach and use a combination of cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, relational, and narrative treatment interventions, I always start where the client is, as you are the expert of your life.
My clinical experience ranges from working in a community mental health clinic with the severely mentally ill and those with less severe mental health concerns to evaluating patients for liver transplants and helping them manage the psychosocial stressors of transplant in the Intensive Care Unit. I currently provide short-term counseling to federal employees. If you are a federal employee I will need to know the agency you work for before confirming if I can work with you; feel free to message me if you have questions.
I understand the impact diet and exercise has on our mood and our life; as such, I take a mind-body approach in my practice. Fat loss can already be a daunting process, add anxiety or depression to the mix and the journey can feel hopeless. I can help you identify the cognitive-emotional barriers hindering your fat loss efforts, and teach you mindful eating while identifying alternative coping strategies to improve your self-esteem and fat loss efforts.
I offer messaging, live chat, video and phone sessions with evening availability. Please note that what you see in my calendar may not reflect my only availability; feel free to confirm my availability through messaging first.
I look forward to working with you!

I was very hesitant about resuming therapy after years absent. Rose helped me to understand some things about myself that were important for my progress, and she worked with me at my own pace which was invaluable. I'm very glad to have had the opportunity to receive help from Rose!
