I am Lisa, and I have been in practice for 17 years. I have a non- judgmental approach to client -centered therapy and a vast amount of experience with children and adults who are working through stress and anxiety issues. Normal life means constant change, and being able to navigate through those changes with strong coping skills gives you the self-confidence you need to live your best life. I have a strong professional background in childhood and adult trauma, PTSD, and re-current depression. I am well trained in many different approaches to therapy such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, Person Centered, Humanistic, Psycho Dynamic and Evidence Based Therapy (EBT).
I have three children of my own and have raised two sets of special needs children through the foster care system. I understand the challenges of normal life and believe with a whole heart that the key to therapy is helping you to find your power, by assisting you to take care of yourself first, strengthen your coping skills, and empower you to over come the obstacles of daily life. Ruby person is class personified. Nonjudgemental, helpful and always ready to listen, and has helped my mental health a lot.
Ruby (Lisa) is insightful and caring. She is concerned for my view of the issues and problems in my life, as opposed to others that are on the periphery. I find her thoughts and recommendations very useful.
Ruby Hawkins-Jack is very kind, non judgmental and intuitive. She works hard to get to the bottom of deep issues and respects her patients feelings. I am very happy to have her as my counselor!
Always understanding, supportive and resourceful! I never think twice about asking a question or disclosing anything because she is always welcoming and ready to listen. Thank you for always being there and for guiding me.
Ruby is very good as a therapist.
Lisa, as Ruby goes by, is a wonderful counselor! For several months, I struggled with strong emotions of guilt, anxiety and stress due to a mistake I made during my last relationship. Things quickly became toxic and Lisa was there every step of the way with me. She has had a reliable ear that listened to my struggles, she has been a resilient counselor that guided me through some of my worst moments, shedding light on facts that I may have overlooked, and she has helped me better understand myself as well as process my emotions in a healthy way. I can't give enough credit to this lovely lady that has truly blessed my life through her hard work!
Lisa (Ruby) is a very patient and understanding counselor. From the moment I spoke to her, I felt at ease and she's definitely a great listener. In addition, Lisa gives great advice and insights, as well as helps me see things in different ways. I am so grateful to meet with Lisa and I always look forward to her following up on my progress every week. Thanks for everything!
I was really afraid of seeking counseling for a long time and Lisa helped me to move past that fear. I would definitely recommend her.
They help me and listen to me, and help so much with my problems. It amazes me how much they care.
The little that we have covered, I feel like she's genuinely concerned and cares.
Lisa is extremely supportive and it has been such a relief speaking to someone with so much empathy and understanding.
