About me

My name is Ryan Albright and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in assisting people to close the gap between where they are right now and there they want to be in the future, with the support of individualized therapy sessions. I enjoy working with clients and helping them to identify their own personal strengths as we navigate their challenges and develop goals to address those challenges. How we perceive our challenges can impact our stress levels, and I believe that perception is an important factor in what influences our thoughts, behaviors and emotions. I have been trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and I typically use a Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) approach. This short-term, goal-oriented approach allows me to assist clients with problem-solving by helping them understand the relationship between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. This approach allows me to identify patterns in thinking or behaviors that are contributing to challenges clients are experiencing. I also use Mindfulness, which helps clients learn to manage stress by learning be in the present moment. Through the use of a variety of techniques focused on relaxation, clients gain a sense of non-judgmental awareness to help them to achieve a sense of inner peace and tranquility.

If you are a person who has been in therapy before, or someone who is reaching out for help for the first time, and you are ready to try to make lasting change, I am the kind of therapist who will keep you working deeply so that you can achieve your goals. I am open to schedule a video, phone or chat sessions and my schedule is up to date with my current availability. I generally check messages here a few times per day Mon-Sat and respond as quickly as I can. I do appreciate your patience when it takes a bit longer at times, as I may be tending to other clients or professional/personal responsibilities.
