Sabina Miah, BACP
About me
Hi, and welcome.
I’m Sabina, a BACP-registered counsellor with 8 years of counselling experience and over 20 years working in the mental health field. I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Edge Hill University. I’m also trained and certified in Online and Telephone Counselling, to ensure that support is safe, accessible, and effective.
My core training is in Person-Centred Counselling and I also have an interest (aswell as experience and training) in Solution-Focused Therapy. I draw from different models and tools to meet you where you are, and to support your unique needs.
Over the years, I’ve worked with many people facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, stress, anger, trauma, abuse, depression, bereavement, self-harm, low self-esteem, and many other presenting issues. I’ve supported both adults and young people in many settings, from schools to specialist services, and I now work in private practice and with BetterHelp.
Alongside my professional experience, I bring with me my own lived experience of adversity. It’s this combination that allows me to sit with you not just as a counsellor, but as a human being, with real empathy, compassion, and understanding. I will mee you with warmth, kindness, and most importantly a genuine desire to help.
I believe you are the expert in your own life, even if it may not feel that way right now. Sometimes we lose touch with our inner voice, or feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. My role is to walk beside you, gently supporting you to make sense of things, reconnect with your strength, and find moments of peace and clarity.
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to take your time figuring things out. When you're ready to begin therapy I’m here to walk alongside you at your own pace.

Words cannot express how extremely helpful she is in helping me regain fragments of my motivation to complete my studies. Mostly due to personal circumstances. But every session she always made me learned a thing or two, and her motivations seems to stuck with me and resonate with my strugle. 10/10 extremely Competent
