About Me

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia, and I have been in private practice for approximately 5 years. I'm an eclectic therapist, and I use different methods of counseling to better suit your needs. I rely heavily on CBT, DBT, and various trauma-focused interventions in sessions, but I sincerely believe in person-centered counseling and the relationship that I form with the client . I am happy to work with people who are experiencing a wide variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, and just general life stresses, but I've focused my work over the last few years on those who are struggling with PTSD and past trauma, and I find joy and purpose in helping people overcome their past and embrace a healthy future. I acknowledge the courage that it takes to take the first step toward healing, and I'm looking forward to traveling on this journey with you.

She's a very nice, kind, respectful, and understanding person. And she cuts right to the bone of what's really troubling you.

Sabrina and I hit it off great. She helps me sort out the thoughts and feelings going through my head. She then helps me dig deeper to the root of those things which gives me new perspectives. She respects and values what I have to say. She respects my boundaries and pushes me when needed without pushing too hard. Her experience and education is apparent in an abundance. She has a great sense of humor. But most of all I feel like a human being and not just a patient when I talk with her. This enables us to have an environment that is built on trust and allows me to be vulnerable enough to be completely open.

Sabrina has been fundamental in helping me understand and work on my anxieties and addictions. Reading her daily advice and insight over these past several months has often been the most peaceful and happy part of my day. She has helped me, reassured me, but has never been afraid of challenging me and pushing my boundaries. I’ll always appreciate what I learned about myself from working with her.

Sabrina is wonderful. She gives me the space to express myself. She is non-judgmental and she has a calm, comforting spirit. I appreciate that she works with me on correcting the root of the cause of my anxiety instead of suggesting medication to treat symptoms. I would highly recommend her.
