About Me

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Supervisor in the state of Ohio with over 5 years of experience working as a clinical social worker. I have worked with clients with a wide range of presenting concerns including grief/loss, coping with a new or chronic health condition, depression and other mood disorders, anxiety and panic related disorders, caregiver stress, family and relationship conflict, and coping with a terminal illness.

My counseling style is supportive and compassionate. I believe that everyone needs to feel supported and encouraged and that we all have the strength and resiliency to overcome life's challenges. My approach combines a person-in-environment, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution-focused counseling. I will work to identify and utilize the counseling approach that will be most beneficial to each client.

Seeking assistance of any kind can be a difficult decision. Thank you for taking the first steps in making the decision to seek counseling. I hope I can be the person to support and encourage you to overcome whatever challenges you may be facing.

I look forward to working with you!

Written by N.I. on Oct 16, 2020 after counseling with Samantha for 2 weeks on issues concerning stress, anxiety, family conflicts, eating disorders, parenting issues, anger management, coping with life changes, and adhd

Sam is a kind, gentle spoken counselor who felt like a friend from the day I began talking to her. I bring her a web of jumbled garbage and she turns it into cohesive thoughts and feelings in ways I haven't been able to do. She acts as my reflection, allowing me to see myself and my issues in a clearer light.
