I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas and Montana. I earned my Master of Social Work degree, from the University of New England in 2014, yet have been working within the behavioral health field since 2008. I've been a practicing therapist in hospitals, inpatient and outpatient clinics, military mental health clinics, residential treatment, and private practice in the community. I have extensive experience working with those who are coping with depression, anxiety, grief/loss and trauma. Relationship problems, LGBTQ issues, sex therapy, personality disorders, eating disorders and addictive behaviors are also a specialty of mine. I have experience working with individuals, to include geriatric, adults and adolescents, couples, groups and the military/veteran population.
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and Interpersonal approaches in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. I am client-centered, which allows my clients to take a more active role in our sessions; I am here to support and help guide you along this journey. The most important aspect of therapy is the connection and comfort you feel with the person you are entrusting with your personal struggles. I truly believe we can all grow through our personal experiences by increasing our self-awareness and explore counseling. I carry a non-judgmental, open-mind when someone shares their story with me. With that being said, it would be my privilege to work with you through Hope, Healing and Recovery.
In terms of availability, I check and respond to messages at least twice daily, seven days a week. I offer live chat and phone sessions weekly to include evenings and weekends.

Working with Samantha was one of the most valuable experiences in my therapeutic path. She is warm, empathetic, validating, and understanding, and she voices observations and suggestions in a calming way that feels non-judgemental and collaborative. I always felt that she was on “my side” even when we were discussing how to combat my own problematic behavior. I was constantly reassured that she was invested in my treatment by things like her recall of minor details from previous calls, not to mention the validation that came at every step in sessions. I highly recommend her to those who may be anxious to find someone safe to talk to, yet are ready to put in the work with someone who can meet them where they are and break down steps to healing in a manageable way.
She is a amazing lady and I think we are just begun a journey of self discovery and change in my life for the better.
Samantha is so lovely, she is great at listening and understanding your situation or how you feel, and then working with you to give you some insight on how to deal with the issue.
Samantha truly is the best at what she does . She is calm, personable, extremely educated and knows exactly where to guide. I have been working with her for over a year and truly she has helped change my life and perspective. If you have a chance to work with her. DO IT!
She is amazing!
Samantha is so encouraging and really helps me stay mindful when I need to get out of my own head. She is an amazing and empathetic therapist.
I'm so happy to have Sam as my counsellor. She's always there for me and I can message her whenever I have a question or a problem. She's such an important part of my recovery.
Samantha is an amazing counselor and therapist. She listens to your words, facial expressions, body language, and the unsaid words in between to give you the best advice needed in that moment for long term growth. I have seen her for over a year and I have seen exponential growth in my self-esteem and self-love and also with accepting my mental illnesses and how to navigate life now that I’ve accepted I have them. I am so thankful for her, BetterHelp and Samantha saved my life.
Samantha is the best therapist I have ever encountered. She is able to help me cut through the noise and to focus on areas within my control and to remember that I have agency and value. Also, I love that she recommends books and articles which pertain to our conversations.
I have only seen one therapist in my life and that's Sam, and she's awesome!!
My weekly appointments with Samantha are the highlight of my week! I really don’t know how I got along without her before!
Sam is awesome! She provides good and new insight into situations that I otherwise would not recognize.
Samantha has an ability to come up with suggestions to help moving past "stuck", useful, concrete ideas, that are hugely valuable. Tips and techniques that really helped me get out of my COVID stuck and back into action. She's great - we did all online, but she really listens when she reads, and draws out useful help. I highly recommend her!!!
My time with Samantha has been great. She's a very supportive and respectful counselor, and she's been a very helpful asset in my recovery. I just hope my next counselor is as awesome as she is!
Samantha has been such a big help with helping me with a situation I wasn't sure how to deal with. She has been compassionate and understanding. She has always been on my side and has never discouraged me. I really enjoy talking with her
Sam listens intently and responds with very genuine and valuable feedback. I would highly recommend!
She is honestly the biggest godsend of my life when it comes to therapy. She listens very well and honestly has given me many answers that most in person therapist could not. And a lot of the things I have explained going on in my head most therapist did not understand but she did. She backed it up with valid information and was very empathetic and kind it made me feel like I definitely had somewhere to go in my life and not just a circle
She is very nice, she listens and offers support and guidance. Very happy to work with her.
Samantha perfectly combines engaged listening and offering insight/suggestions. I am well versed in therapy and mental/emotional health research so I want someone able to speak to various theories and research in a meaningful way, as she does. Very happy for her compassion and care.
First time i spoke to Samantha i was much comfortable to open up with her. She will listen to your concern and try to guide you using all the tools she have on her possession.
I also feel much better after having conversation with her. Thank you Samantha for the work you do.
Sam is great and very patient and understanding. She really respects you and is a very thoughtful person.
Samantha makes me feel confident with expressing things I normally wouldn't to other people without fear of being denied of helpful and insightful guidance. I've seen many therapists in the past and she is definitely top tier.
Samantha has been amazing... I have had lots of ups and downs and she has been a rock during very hard times. I would recommend her to anyone.

Samantha is incredibly understanding. She is so talented at pinpointing and articulating concerns that I am not able to for myself and then providing meaningful solutions. I would recommend her to anyone.
