About Me

Welcome!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas and Montana. I earned my Master of Social Work degree, from the University of New England in 2014, yet have been working within the behavioral health field since 2008. I've been a practicing therapist in hospitals, inpatient and outpatient clinics, military mental health clinics, residential treatment, and private practice in the community. I have extensive experience working with those who are coping with depression, anxiety, grief/loss and trauma. Relationship problems, LGBTQ issues, sex therapy, personality disorders, eating disorders and addictive behaviors are also a specialty of mine. I have experience working with individuals, to include geriatric, adults and adolescents, couples, groups and the military/veteran population.

I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and Interpersonal approaches in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. I am client-centered, which allows my clients to take a more active role in our sessions; I am here to support and help guide you along this journey. The most important aspect of therapy is the connection and comfort you feel with the person you are entrusting with your personal struggles. I truly believe we can all grow through our personal experiences by increasing our self-awareness and explore counseling. I carry a non-judgmental, open-mind when someone shares their story with me. With that being said, it would be my privilege to work with you through Hope, Healing and Recovery.

In terms of availability, I check and respond to messages at least twice daily, seven days a week. I offer live chat and phone sessions weekly to include evenings and weekends.

My time with Samantha has been great. She's a very supportive and respectful counselor, and she's been a very helpful asset in my recovery. I just hope my next counselor is as awesome as she is!

Samantha’s approach to counseling is exactly what I needed in my life. She never pressures me to speak on anything I don’t want to at the time. With that, she opens herself up so that one can easily feel welcomed to speak to her whenever they feel comfortable!

Samantha came into my life at a time where I was really in a downward spiral. From out very first interaction she was kind, she listened and I could tell she was genuine. I have been seeing her for a few months now and I truly look forward to our appointments and to share updates and I go through this journey. She breaks down things so I can understand them, she is honest and truly a joy to work with. I wouldn't change therapists even if you paid me. She is the real deal and I'm so grateful that I have had her in my corner these few months. She answers all of my message promptly and you can tell even through the messages, she cares about her clients.

She is honestly the biggest godsend of my life when it comes to therapy. She listens very well and honestly has given me many answers that most in person therapist could not. And a lot of the things I have explained going on in my head most therapist did not understand but she did. She backed it up with valid information and was very empathetic and kind it made me feel like I definitely had somewhere to go in my life and not just a circle

Samantha perfectly combines engaged listening and offering insight/suggestions. I am well versed in therapy and mental/emotional health research so I want someone able to speak to various theories and research in a meaningful way, as she does. Very happy for her compassion and care.
