"Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my bio; I am excited you are here. A little about me, I am an independently licensed counselor with supervisor designation, LPCC-S, in the State of Ohio. I have over 20 years experience working with individuals, children, families and couples. I have worked in a number of diverse settings including psychiatric hospitals, schools, private practice as well as community mental health centers. My most recent adventure was serving as a Clinical Supervisor in a small behavioral health clinic in Juneau, Alaska.
I truly feel that it is a privilege to be able to help people who are endeavoring to overcome personal obstacles. I have worked with many people who struggle with depression and anxiety, relationship and parenting problems, addiction and trauma. I believe that it takes courage to ask for help, and to be open to receiving it. I want my clients to feel safe and understood, and do my best to help my clients learn the skills they need to overcome the challenges they are facing. Life can be hard, and I believe we all benefit from the extra support that counseling can bring. None of us are perfect ( I know I'm not!) and we all make mistakes, but we cannot let our mistakes define us. I believe that life's challenges can make us stronger, and help us get to know our resilient selves. I think you'll find me easy to work with, completely non-judgmental and sometimes even fun.
