About me
If the old coping strategies have stopped working, or worse, are becoming self destructive, reaching out for help can be both a scary but ultimately liberating first step toward growth and healing. My communication style is direct, but equally warm, empathic, and relatable always working toward creating a setting where you can feel comfortable and safe to be vulnerable and honest. I sincerely know how debilitating addiction, anxiety, depression, losses, and life's unexpected events can be. I work with individuals and families, and am on staff/consult with nearby mental health and substance treatment facilities.
I have special interest working youth and adults during times of transition: career changes, moves from residential treatment back into the community, moves from high school to college &/or college into new environments, changes in relationship statuses, moves to a new city, etc.
Professional experience
Additional areas of focus: Addictions, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Anger management, Self esteem, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder
