I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, where I received a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Texas Pan American. I have been working in an outpatient counseling setting for over 13 years and have gained experience in working with children & adults from ages ranging from 6 to 60. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger, poor self-esteem, cognitive deficits, and brain injuries. I help my clients manage these areas and find coping strategies that suit their individual needs.
My style of counseling is encouraging and optimistic as I strive to empower my clients with belief in themselves so that they take responsibility and initiative to overcome hardships and begin living life to the fullest. I incorporate Cognitive behavioral, Reality, Existential, and Client-Centered approaches.
In my personal life, I believe in Jesus Christ and am active in my local church where I am part of the praise and worship team. I play acoustic guitar and sing on the team. I come from a large family and have been blessed to have a good relationship with all of my siblings and my parents.
I hope to have the opportunity to work with you and help you find the best way to better cope and manage whatever may be going on in your life.

Sandra was a fantastic counselor. She was available and she always gave me a thoughtful, well-analyzed response which is exactly what I was hoping for. I really appreciate her and the work she did with me and I would strongly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great counselor.
She has been a source of support through this month. Very happy to have her a text away! Thanks so much Sandra!
