Sandra DuBois

About Me

I am a mental health counselor licensed in Washington state with over 13 years of experience working as a therapist in a variety of settings. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, Bipolar Disorder, anger management, ODD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. Settings I have worked with include in-home family therapy, outpatient clinic, and group practice. I currently work in a small private clinic full-time along with online counseling.

My approach to counseling is integrative, combining a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to fit each individual in a way that will address the specific concerns of each client in the most effective way. I see my role as a therapist as a guide and support for clients in building the skills and confidence necessary to live their best life. Therapy is not always easy, sometimes it requires me to push clients past their comfort zone, but I will always be empathetic and patient and put you, the client, first.

This is your first step in making the changes in your life to be a healthier and more content you. I look forward to working with you!

Sandra is friendly and approachable, and willing to change approaches to address what’s an issue in your life at that moment, whether it be managing others or coming to terms with something deep within yourself. I like that she’s chill, yet brilliant and insightful. I feel like she strikes that perfect balance between caring for her clients, while still not being too high-pressure and stressing me out. Altogether I would recommend to others.
