I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arkansas and Missouri with 11 years experience helping adults of all ages manage self-defeating thoughts and difficult emotions associated with depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict and difficult life transitions. I work with you to cultivate new, healthier habits of thinking and handling emotions. Each session, you learn new skills drawn from mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Between sessions, I expect you to practice using those skills so we can figure out together what works and doesn't work for you. We'll periodically review and monitor your progress toward the treatment goals you choose to make sure you're getting what you need (and deserve).
I believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I tailor our dialog and the skills you learn to meet your unique and specific needs and priorities.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy requires recognition that things need to change and courage to move forward. You've taken the first steps. You're here envisioning what your life might become as you get unstuck. Your next steps are to sign up and show up, recognizing progress comes one baby step at a time.
Additional areas of focus: Caregiver Issues and Stress, Chronic Pain Illness and Disability, Forgiveness, Guilt and Shame, Midlife Crisis, Mood Disorders, Self-Love
