About me

I have over 10 years of experience in Social Work, 5 years of counseling practice, and 2 years as a behavioral health coach in integrated healthcare. I specialize in working with individuals of all ages recovering from depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, insomnia/sleep trouble, concentration/focus problems, adjustment disorders, chronic pain, health issues, grief and loss, self-esteem, emotional/mood regulation, and communication/relationship difficulties. I have enjoyed working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and anyone seeking aging/disability assistance, helping them navigate all phases of life.

I like to use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused approach to help you understand your overwhelming thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and make changes by walking you through the stepping stones to feel better.

You have already taken a major positive step by signing up to this program, which shows motivation and courage, and is more than half the battle. Stick with it and there is no doubt you will see the positive effects. Stress is a normal and helpful response to life hassles. But it can become a problem if it is so much that it overwhelms us. In the modern world, stress can happen when we feel there is too much on our plate and that we can't handle or cope with all the demands placed on us. Resilience is about achieving a sense of well-being and satisfaction, in all areas of your life. Building resilience helps you deal with challenges and bounce back from setbacks. Relaxing is easier said than done, particularly if you’re often wound up and tense, but we can learn to relax and get better at it. The scale of the COVID-19 crisis is disrupting our personal and school lives. We are facing new challenges that are having an impact on our mental health. I aim to support you in finding helpful ways to cope and adjust to these extraordinary circumstances.
