About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. I have served the Illinois Department of Corrections working with prison populations on a range of mental health issues, and have worked with adults that experience symptoms of severe mental illness, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, adjustment disorders, and self-esteem/self-perception issues. I also served as a mental health professional for the Isaac Ray Treatment Center at Logansport State Hospital, where I performed assessments, created treatment plans, and provided group and individual therapy. As a counselor, I work to build a genuine relationship and provide a safe space for self discovery in order for clients to gain education and to see themselves with greater clarity. Together we work to identify your specific challenges, and from there, build the tools that will help you succeed.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois, a Master of Science in Evolutionary and Comparative Psychology from University of St Andrews, and a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Sara has helped me immensely with overcoming an addiction, and also with many other things. She is a skilled listener and is very effective at helping you help yourself. She is very intelligent and it is easy to trust what she says. I would strongly recommend her to anyone.

Sara has been a great person to turn when I am dealing with my anxiety issues. I tend to ramble a lot about my anxiety and she is great at pin-pointing trends or specific thoughts. She will offer appropriate solutions to help me address them.

Timely responses and has a calming demeanor. She will get straight to the real issues, but you will still feel like you can easily express your thoughts and feelings
