I am a Licensed Psychologist from Pennsylvania with many years experience providing psychotherapy and counseling. I have worked with all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. I work with behavioral issues as well as emotional issues, such as life issues, including personal issues, relationship issues, or career issues. I also work with people who are experiencing mental health issues, such as depressive symptoms, symptoms of anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, and other disorders, including addictions, cognitive disorders, and Asperger's Syndrome. Furthermore, I work with clients exhibiting symptoms of personality disorders. My main goal is to help people create the lives they want through the use of reality-based work, with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. I focus on helping people obtain success through helping them to examine their values and beliefs to determine whether those values and beliefs are helping or hurting them. I also focus on setting short-term and long-term goals and helping people develop a plan to achieve those goals. Part of the process I use also focuses on defining harmful thoughts and beliefs that may be holding people back from achieving their goals and replace these thoughts and beliefs with positive and empowering thoughts and beliefs. Therefore, my approach is to help people overcome issues and problems based on individual needs and wants.
I received my training through Chestnut College in Philadelphia, where I received a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and Human Services. I also received a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where I also received a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology. My Bachelor's Degree is from Penn State University. I have been employed in various agencies and private practices for many years, and have been in my own practice for 11 years. I enjoy the flexibility of helping people when it is convenient for them to participate in therapy and counseling.
Online therapy also provides the flexibility that many people require due to work or other demands of life. I will be in touch with you within 24 hours after you reach out to me, so you may message me anytime. I can be available for messaging, email, telephone, or video chats. I will communicate with you in whatever way you prefer. It is important that you feel comfortable so that you can receive the most successful treatment possible.
It's exciting to be able to utilize online therapy and counseling as a tool for helping you create the life you want by setting goals and experiencing growth in your life.
I do my own scheduling, so there are no online sessions showing as available. However, please message me so that we are able to schedule an appointment that is convenient for both of us. I do not schedule evening or weekend hours for modes of communication other than messaging.

Sara has helped me through some of the toughest times and has guided me through gaining a better perspective on things so I can move forward and live a better, healthier life. She’s empathetic and supportive when I need her to be and she’ll also help me make tough decisions by looking at all angles with me. I can’t emphasize how much she’s helped me through this year!
She is wholistic in creating client's psychological development. She listens with patience. Gives response in time. Does not mind. Easy going. And a very professional. I give her 12 out of 10. Yes 12 and that too out of 10. Long live, dear Dr. Sara Cornell.
Dr. Sara Cornell made me feel safe, reassured, and heard. She’s got great insights on CBT techniques and recommends strategies that work for me, while being encouraging and patient even when my progress is slow.
Very helpful, compassionate and polite. She made me feel a lot better and more confident
She is funny too and made me comfortable while talking about my problems
Dr. Cornell has been extremely helpful and kind. Every session she listens to my concerns and tries to help me through my issues and gives me problem solving exercises to help me improve my ways of reacting to the things around me.
Dr. Cornell is kind and down to earth. She responds in a way that feels like she has put good thought into your concerns. I don’t know what she has dealt with or been through in her own life but she never makes you feel like an alien and never speaks to you in a way that feels patronizing. She seems to understand what you’ve gone through is serious and replies accordingly with thoughts, questions, and ideas that work in real life in a practical way.
Dr. Cornell has a very kind, but caring and straightforward manner. She listens and will share her views and offers different perspectives to think about. She has your interests at heart to help you reach a good decision and better place.
Dr. Cornell is awesome! I was a bit nervous to do counseling online but she is awesome! She gives real feedback and tools that you can use on a day-to-day basis.
I've been working with Dr. Cornell for a couple of months now- I'd highly recommend her. She replies promptly and addresses every concern I have, with kind, well thought-out honest responses. I don't think I could ask for a better counselor to support me in my journey back to health.
So far I have found Dr Cornell to be a great person to work with. She is very experienced in this field and has made me feel at ease and understood. I am enjoying our interaction and look forward to the results as time goes on.

I was skeptical and nervous to do online counseling. I love it! Dr. Cornell is a perfect fit for me. I’ve had two video sessions with her. I’ve been to counseling before, where I feel like I’m just talking out my issues. Dr. Cornell listens and then offers input almost immediately. I already feel she has given me “tools" to help my self. Thank you, I’m very pleased.
