About Me

I am a counselor licensed in Connecticut with experience working with adults and adolescents with a variety of needs and goals. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, substance use, and trauma. My goal is to support and empower my clients in deepening their insight into their current struggles so that we can work together to build skills and develop tools that will allow for confidence and success.

My approach to counseling style is warm, interactive, and flexible. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I believe that two of the biggest barriers to seeking help are transportation and stigma; I am excited to use an interactive platform of messaging and distance counseling to meet you where you are at. My counseling style includes cognitive-behavioral, motivational enhancement, and humanistic modalities. I feel it is important that everything we do is driven by the client and their needs; I tailor my approach and interventions to best meet the needs of each individual.

I know it isn't always easy to ask for help; the hardest step is sometimes the first step. When you are ready, I am here and I look forward to working with you!

I look forward to working with you!

Sara is awesome, she is so professional and personable at the same time! She listens to and understands me and is able to put my feelings and experiences into words, pointing out themes and helping me to work through things. She is so validating and overall I’m glad to be working with her!
