Greetings, my name is Sara and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Florida. I have over 10 years of experience working with diverse client groups that range across the life span and encompass various minority and specialty populations. This includes working with persons who identify as part of the LGBTQ+, Veteran\Military, Hispanic\LatinX, African American, or First Nations\Indigenous communities.
I emphasize a strengths based, holistic approach that empowers clients to see where they are and where they want to be. This entails supportive counseling to address concerns related to anxiety, depression, family\marriage conflict and relationship issues, adjustment and adoption as well as terminal illness and/or loss of a loved one. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic and psychodynamic theories to assist clients in their unique healing process. I believe that you are the expert in your life story and therefore, your best advocate. I am here to help you through this phase by offering a nonjudgmental and supportive environment that emphasizes dignity, respect, and compassion.

Sara is professional, understanding, and receptive and gives feedback. She is extremely patient and understanding of the way I speak and communicates effectively to let me know ow we are on the same page. She responds in a very timely manner to my communications and is flexible with scheduling video sessions which is very helpful and important to me.
Sara was very calm and professional and gave me the space to vent my frustrations, hurt and anger which I had built up in my mind. She gave some solid insight to my behavior without invalidating my feelings. I appreciate the fact that she continues to check in and I like knowing she will be available should I need to talk in the future.
