Our world has been turned upside down. We’re facing challenges, trauma, and grief on an unprecedented scale. We’re missing friends, family members, and celebrations. We’re trying to find a new equilibrium without our usual supports. For some, this may have made your usual load even harder to carry. Now, more than ever, we need connection. Social distancing does not have to mean emotional distancing. We can bridge the gap so that no one is struggling alone.
I am here to support you in this process. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency counselor in Texas with 7 years of experience. My primary areas of focus include dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, anger, addiction, grief, and transitions. I am able to offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy geared toward improving thinking patterns, reactions, and coping skills for symptoms or routine stressors.
There is no one-sized fits all approach to mental health recovery, so I will work with you to create a plan for care that fits your preferences and goals. I have worked in outpatient, intensive settings and crisis units, and providing on-call emergency assessments for an inpatient psychiatric unit, which has given me a wide range of skills to meet people where they are and to work with a variety of clients. As your counselor, I strive to build a therapeutic relationship where there is no judgement and you are able to share openly, feeling heard and understood. It takes tremendous courage to reach out for help, and it is a big step to even begin considering it. I would be honored to walk with you in your counseling journey.
Accepting weekday morning or afternoon appointments at this time. Currently offering phone or messaging therapy. I look forward to working with you!

LPC #73046 (Expires: 2021-12-31)
I am in the beginning stages of my therapy, but have had great experiences with every session so far. Sara is a great listener, understanding, compassionate, and has provided me with some really useful tools to assist me in my daily life.
