About me

Hi there! My name is Sarah and I'm currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Louisiana as well as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Montana. I love my job of being a helper as I see immense strengths and progress from my clients throughout their counseling journey. I've worked with children as young as 4 and adults until end of life. I have experience in juvenile corrections, adult corrections, family counseling, Couples as well as Individual counseling. I am trained in the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model and have years of experience in working with Anxiety Disorders, Depression Disorders, Grief, Post-Partum and much more. In my current practice, I work with patient's to address Thinking Errors and Negative Core beliefs that contribute to continued symptoms of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and overall stress. I firmly believe that we as human beings were made with the utmost of care by God the Father and in His image, and we are worthy of love regardless of our past mistakes and/or choices we've made within our lives.

I have found working in this field that there is a common misconception of therapy having to be months or years long process. It can be long term depending on the issue at hand, however my goal as your counselor is to work with you and give you the skills and tools necessary for your own success. If you feel my training and education would be a good fit for your journey, I would love the opportunity to work with you.

Sarah is such a great support to me as I figure out why my brain works the way it does and why I respond the way I do to situations in my life. She challenges me in such a gentle way in order to help me grow and get better. I feel that she really is invested in my healing.

We have met with Sarah a couple times and she has been great. My wife and I both have great chemistry with her. She has been helping us to communicate by providing excellent tools and exercises. She isn't judgmental at all, which makes it very easy to be completely honest. Sarah responds quickly to our messages and actually reaches out to us first. We can tell that Sarah genuinely cares about helping us. We highly recommend Sarah as a counselor.

Though I've only been with Sarah for a few weeks now, I've been more than happy with her as a therapist. She is kind and funny with a good ear and an even greater sense of understanding issues. I highly recommend her :)
