About me

Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California with 10 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and clinical social worker. My favorite population to work with are young adults, but I also have a special place in my heart for adolescents. With that being said, I have experience working with all ages, young and seasoned! I have over 4+ years of working extensively with individuals that are in recovery from substance abuse addictions and process addictions (gambling, shopping, pornography ,etc.), and about 90% of my clients have some experience with significant trauma and history of abuse. Most of my clients also are dealing with or have dealt with depression, anxiety, anger issues, PTSD, as well as personality disorders. I also have some experience helping individuals on the Autism Spectrum improve their social experiences and interpersonal relationships, which can be a huge barrier to living their best lives!

My counseling style is casual, conversational, warm, and fun! I'm extremely invested in what YOU want to work on in your counseling sessions and I pride myself on taking a non-judgemental approach with my clients so that you always feel safe to talk about whats on your mind. With that being said, I like to focus on building a good therapeutic alliance with you in the first conversations and gather as much information as I can so that I can better understand where you're coming from. Sometimes counseling involves lots of goal setting, and sometimes the counseling is the actual talking and processing with someone else who can hold space for you just to get it off your chest! It's up to you! There are no "supposed to's" and typically I love when counseling has it's own flow. Every client is different, and I want to make sure you feel respected and heard as it relates to your own personal focus for counseling. I typically blend cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, mindfulness, psychodynamic and solution-focused counseling together depending on your unique needs. As a registered yoga teacher, I have extra experience helping those trying to connect and strengthen their mind-body-spirit!

I commend you for taking the first step to begin counseling, and I know it can be intimidating! Recognizing you need extra support is already the step in the right direction and I am excited to help spark something in you for a better wellbeing and working toward being the best version of yourself!

Looking forward to working with you!
