Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Art Therapist with over 8 years of clinical experience. I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including adults with chronic mental health conditions in the community setting, youth and families in an outpatient setting, as well as my current full time position as a school based therapist in a high school. I work with client's affected by anxiety, depression, perfectionism, family issues, trauma, grief and loss, identity, and relationship issues.
Originally from Westfield, Indiana, I spent 6 years in the city of Chicago, but relocated back to Indianapolis in 2016 to be closer to family. I received my undergraduate degree in Art Therapy at Millikin University (2010) and my graduate degree in Counseling: Art Therapy from Adler School of Professional Psychology in 2012.
My approach to counseling is a combination of approaches to best meet the individual needs of the client. My therapeutic lens is strengths based, process, and solution focused. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, and some Dialectical Behavioral approaches I work with clients to process difficult emotions, identify and build positive internal resources, and find creative and individual solutions to the challenges they present. My goal for therapy is for client's to lead a happier, more peaceful, and insightful life.
In my spare time I enjoy running, cooking, baking, being with family, walking around our neighborhood in downtown Indianapolis, spending time playing with my daughter and husband, enjoying local coffee shops, and traveling when I am able.

We've only had one session but Sarah is very personable, professional and listens attentively.
Sarah has been amazing at identifying my triggers and helping me better understand what will help my mental health. She has been a huge help so far and I am excited to further pursue therapy with her.
Sarah is wonderful. She not only listens to what I’m saying, but picks up on things I’m not saying. She’s been very helpful in having someone to talk to and offer different ideas to cope with everything going on in my life.
