About me

Welcome and thank you for visiting my BetterHelp profile! Seeking therapy can be an uncomfortable and scary feeling. It takes a great deal of strength and courage to take steps to begin your self-healing journey through therapy. I applaud you for taking those beginner steps and exploring therapy as a tool for self-exploration and growth. Building a supportive, trusting and collaborative relationship with my clients is essential for me when it comes to my client’s overall effectiveness and success in therapy. I aspire to offer a safe, respectful and non-judgmental environment to allow you to be open and honest without fear of judgment. Together we will identify and address concerns to help influence positive change in your life.

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Louisiana with 5+ years of experience in the mental health field, and 3 years of experience with substance abuse. I have also worked in individual, family and group therapy sessions in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric programs along with different school settings. I am comfortable working with any population regardless of age, gender, race, culture, religion or sexuality. I pride myself on meeting each patient where they are at in their healing process and setting treatment goals based on their individual desired outcome. I have worked with clients with a variety of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, self-esteem issues, and trauma. Despite, I am always opened to new learning opportunities and experiences. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client centered counseling, psychodynamic, solution-focused, mindfulness and rational-emotive counseling. I utilize active listening skills to allow accurate reflection of both content and emotional expression. I recognize that therapeutic styles work differently for every individual and I strive to find a style and approach that best fits you.

Life happens to all of us and sometimes we need additional tools, such as therapy, to assist us in understanding, processing, and coping with different life stressors. Change starts with you and I hope you will consider working with someone who is dedicated and passionate to understanding your individual needs while supporting and empowering you along life's journey. I am confident that I can assist you in healing and helping you finally bring out that inner you that you have been longing to become.

I look forward to working with you!
