Hello, my name is Sarah Isaack and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Wyoming and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Idaho. I would like to provide you with some information about myself so you can determine if I am a good fit for your counseling needs. I have three dog fur babies Pandora, Solstice, and Sam. I am currently married and have lived in Wyoming most of my life. I enjoy reading, walking in nature, and gardening for coping skills and am passionate about helping others help themselves.
I have been both a substance and mental health counselor for over 8 years and have a degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I have vast experience working with a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, burnout, and life purpose. I have extensive experience with trauma, self-esteem, and self-identity issues in addition to addictions and relationships. I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in all types of settings which have ranged from outpatient therapy to residential treatment.
My passion is mental health counseling and helping clients become the best version of themselves. I believe individuals should be in control of their sessions and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. I understand how uncomfortable it can be to self-disclose to a stranger as I have been in counseling myself which is why I do not judge clients. I aim to create a safe place to process issues and emotions in all my sessions.
I have a strong theoretical counseling orientation with Person-Centered Therapy which focuses on creating a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I am also a big fan of Solution-Focused Therapy which focuses on helping individuals create meaningful life goals. At times I will use Existentialism which focuses on the meaning of life. Although I have certain preferences for theoretical orientations, I prefer to use approaches specific tailored to the needs of clients which utilizes treatments form a variety of theoretical orientations.
I tend to have a gentle confrontation style but can be blunt if needed. Although I am reserved and a major introvert, I am passionate about helping others and believe empathy is the key to successful counseling relationships. There will be times I will challenge individuals in sessions but will never push individuals beyond their limits. I look forward to working with you and hope you will enjoy working with me!

Sarah is wonderful!! When I started counseling I was very nervous, anxious and closed off. Sarah did a great job of learning how I am as a person to really build a rapport with me. Sarah has helped me tremendously with the goals we set together and listened, showed patiences, and flexibility with me and my needs. Sarah was very accommodating with my schedule and always made me feel like I was her only client. I would time and time again recommend Sarah to anyone. She helped me move through my goals, gave me confidence and helped me better to understand myself as a person and thought me a lot of the counseling world. Thank you, Sarah!
