About me

Do you wonder why you attract the same unhealthy people in your life over and over again?
Do you think to yourself how can I possibly ever learn to love myself when I was never given the tools from my parents?
Do you feel like if you started to let yourself feel the pain-like really feel it-you would never stop crying?
Do you turn to substances, food, or other distractions to numb the pain?

I want you to know that you don’t deserve to walk alone. I want to come alongside you on your journey, offer tools, and hold space for healing. Even if you’re not ready yet, even if you don’t believe it’s possible, I want to sit beside you while you explore that belief more deeply.

I help overwhelmed people who have difficulty controlling their emotions, who have spent their life feeling misunderstood, and who are constantly running from their painful past re-connect to their authentic selves through teaching them how to heal their stressed nervous systems and challenge the shame which keeps them stuck in self-defeating patterns. I have experience working with complex trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, intimacy issues, identity issues, substance use, and self-harm. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee in Washinton state. I've worked at mental health and substance use outpatient programs, as well as an inpatient treatment center.

In counseling, you will be invited to share anything and everything that is on your mind. As we work together, we will discuss both the past and present; we will recognize themes and note connections. We will reconnect to the body through awareness and breath so that emotions that are living in and informing the body become known. We will explore new skills and healing practices that may benefit your goals. But most importantly, you are the one in charge of where we go and at what pace.

I know that reaching out for help can be hard, so I commend you for taking the first step. And I'm excited to get to know you more!
