About me

I'm a licensed clinical social worker with 12+ years of experience. I've worked with folks going through just about everything, including depression and anxiety, relationship and family problems, grief and loss, substance addiction, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, PTSD, self-harm, suicidality, and intrusive thoughts. I see each person as a unique individual and not just a diagnosis, but also have a strong understanding of known disorders and evidence-based treatments. On the whole, I believe that we all have within us what we need to learn, grow, and change. My job is to help remove barriers and provide encouragement and support.

My style is existential, humanistic, and meaning- focused. I'm here to help you sort out what matters most to you, and live the life you want to live, feeling confident about your choices. I teach coping skills to help with distress, but also focus on communication, boundaries, codependency, attachment and of course, pursuing meaning and purpose in life. Helping people figure out what they want, what they value, and how to pursue that is what I enjoy. Change is hard, and it helps a lot to have an impartial guide, teacher and confidant who can provide encouragement, perspective, insight, validation and feedback.

I believe that the most important aspect of good therapy is a real connection and genuine positive regard. Because of this, my focus is connecting with folks in a real way and seeing the best in them. From there, we work together to make the changes you choose.
