I am a clinical social worker licensed in Colorado with several years of experience working in mental health as a psychotherapist. Prior to obtaining my Master's in Social Work, I worked for many years as a coach, personal trainer and have studied and practiced mindfulness for over two decades. I am a strong believer in the importance of our mind-body connection and believe mental and physical health are interrelated.
My goal in our work together is to personalize an approach with you that is mindfulness based and integrates all levels of human functioning—body, emotions, mind, relationships, spirit–and works at the level that is best suited for the particular challenges you are facing. In addition to mindfulness, I bring strategies informed by many strengths-based psychotherapy traditions. Most often I use combinations of cognitive and behavioral (CBT/DBT) therapies, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
It takes courage to consider reaching out for help and begin to take steps toward change. I am here to support and empower you on this journey and it is my hope that through our work together you will be able to live in greater alignment with your values in order to live your fullest life possible.
