Hi, my name is Sarah and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida and my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. I have been working in the field since 2011 and have been supervising clinicians since 2014. I have worked with a wide range of client populations including children, adolescents, adults, and with the LGBTQ community. I worked as a clinical manager in a moderate risk department of juvenile justice program with a focus on substance use disorders and later I assisted in the development of a partial hospitalization program focused on mental health and substance use disorders for adult women. I have experience working with myriad problem areas such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and self esteem. I have extensive training in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma focused-cognitive behavioral therapy. I pride myself on my therapeutic style being very client centered and flexible; I will do my best to adapt to your needs and preferences. I believe in treating others with compassion and respect and my counseling style reflects this in my interactive approach. Feedback that I have gotten from clients is they find me to be caring, empathic, and genuine. I am honest and direct and open to any feedback as we are working together about what is helpful and what is not helpful. I would love to work with you to assist you in accomplishing your goals!

I have seen several psychologists and counsellors over the past 8 years and Sarah is the best counsellor I have ever had. I had experience with trauma that previous therapists would brush over or say that it would be best not to go into, but Sarah was the only one to take on the challenge and she successfully helped me get over an event in my life that I thought would haunt me forever.
Sarah is understanding, down to earth, and easy to talk to; even about difficult things. I really can’t recommend her enough!
Sarah has listened to all of my problems (addiction, anxiety, stress, depression related), and has offered different coping strategies that I have been able to put into practise which have helped me tremendously in everyday life. I would recommend Sarah for anyone with similar issues.
Sarah has been an incredible help to me. I am really surprised and a bit shocked to have made so much progress. I’m so grateful for her work and would recommend her to anyone.
I was so scared to ask for help, or start the counselling process, and I honestly could not have asked for a better introduction to therapy than Sarah. She immediately put me at ease and has given me advice that I will never forget. I couldn't have asked for a better match
Sarah has been great! She's given me worksheets and an emotion wheel thing to help me come up with how I feel when I don't know how I am. She responds quickly and always listens. She's the best counsellor I've ever had. I tried multiple other sites which, essentially, have up on me. BetterHelp was my last chance. It saved me.
Sarah is attentive and knowledgeable
Sarah Sandberg has been wonderful. I feel comfortable sharing things with her, and her advice is so helpful. I feel as if she fully understands my troubles which makes it very easy to reach out to her in times of need.
Sarah's giving me the confidence to face my issues head-on and not alone.
Sarah is very real and down to earth. She offers support in a genuine way and validates all my concerns. I recomend!
She’s helped me through a very very hard time and unique situation and understood my needs in a very thoughtful way and helped guide me through a extremely difficult situation while helping me manage my own mental health, I downloaded BetterHelp on a whim out of desperation and being matched with Sarah turned out to be the exactly what I needed and I don’t know how I would be getting through this time without her.
Sarah is very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. I feel like she understands my challenge and provides insightful discussion in helping me understand what’s going on. I’m hopeful for continued progress.
I felt comfortable talking to Sarah from the get go. I was scared about the formality of therapy, but talking to Sarah is casual, relaxing even. I would definitely recommend her.
