About Me
Hi, I'm Sarah. I am from the Greater Boston area and I graduated from Simmons School of Social Work in 2016 with a Masters in Clinical Social Work. I obtained my LICSW in 2019. I have 8 plus years as a clinician in multiple settings, including inpatient/emergency department, outpatient services, school systems, and child protection. I have had the privilege of helping people with anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, communication barriers, career challenges, parenting techniques, Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional abuse, domestic violence, trauma and life changes.
My therapeutic style is warm and inviting. I want to be sure you feel comfortable and safe to share with me as taking the step to engage in therapy requires vulnerability. It is important that you feel respected, heard, and supported.
My approach is client focused- you know you best. Together we will create a unique, specific to your needs treatment plan using techniques that combine a humanistic approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
I am here to help along the way. I look forward to meeting you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sarah Smith. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Sarah has such an even and fair approach to our discussions. She encourages and listens . I am most grateful to how she remembers the details to our conversations and plays them back when they are relevant. I would talk to her everyday if I could afford if.
Sarah is amazing! She has been a great help to me as I try to figure things out whether about work or relationships. She listens and guides the thought process very well, and has really helped me grow so much. She is a lifesaver and a blessing!
Sarah is so lovely. She’s so down to earth & conversational. I have been able to express a lot to her without fear of judgement. She listens & works things out the way your brain needs it to happen. She’s not a “hype man”, she will challenge you in the most considerate way possible. But she values her clients & I can’t speak highly enough of her
I’ve only had Sarah as my therapist for a short time but she’s already helped me to feel more like me. I was nervous because I had never received therapy before and wasn’t sure what to expect but she helped guide me through the process and never made me feel embarrassed or awkward about my feelings and what I talked about. She always listened and gave me the time to talk through my own feelings but also helped me process them and validated the way I felt and never rushed me through the “healing” process. Sarah’s been a great therapist and I absolutely recommend her!
