Hello! My name is Sarina Grant. I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of California. Although my license is titled "marriage and family," I work mostly with individuals. For over three years, it has been my mission to help others with concerns such as anxiety, eating disorders, relationship conflicts, family discord, depression, major life changes, and trauma.
Throughout the process, I aim to be a safe and sturdy platform for you to stand on, keeping you secure as you explore the issues most important to you. My goal is to hear you, and listen deeply to the challenges that you are facing, while providing knowledge and empathic guidance to help you get where you want to be. I prefer Attachment Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Theory, however, I tailor my counseling style to each individual.
I value therapy SO much. I spent many years as a client, and feel as if it shaped my life, allowing me to become the person I wanted to be. I hope to pass the gift that my therapist gave me onto my clients.
If you think I might be a good fit for you, please contact me! I'd love to get to know you and help you throughout your counseling journey.
I look foward to meeting you,
- Stress, Anxiety
- Eating disorders
- Coping with life changes
I also have experience in LGBT, Relationship issues, Family conflicts, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Self esteem, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder

Sarina has been an amazing addition to my life. I'm beyond thankful I went through with opening up to her. She’s absolutely amazing. I have grown immensely with her help over the past few weeks. She’s definitely a blessing.
Let's spend a moment and think about Sarina.
I'll be honest, when I signed up for BetterHelp, I gave the barest of frameworks. I didn't want to control who they sent to me, I felt like that was up to the Universe to decide. Those of you that prefer a higher level of control are probably hyperventilating now; but I have enough respect for chaos (as opposed to imposing my own order) that even if this didn't work out, at least I let have Chaos have its say.
Chaos did well. Sarina is smart, attentive, and definitely the kind of person I want helping me shoveling all the ... compost of the past decades.
I think that's enough to be considered a "good" review, since that's what I set out to provide.
No matter who you choose, dive in with both feet. Don't be coy, this is a person that's internally motivated to care for others -- and also happens to do it professionally. You're gaining nothing by not laying all of the cards on the table. Trust me, therapists have a much-diminished capacity for shock, unless you confess to some sort of bizarre mass harm to others. Even then, I feel like they'd work on getting you help.
I'm really happy with the therapist that the universe supplied.
Sarina instantly made me feel safe and at ease. She's super thorough with all her responses and asks all the right questions to help explore ideas more. She sets an amazing example of how great e-therapy can be.
I have only completed a couple sessions, but so far so good!
