About me

Welcome to my page!

I have 15 years experience counseling mainly within the topics of trauma (PTSD), relationship issues / emotional and physical abuse, and mental health symptoms that are creating a drag in your life (anxiety, depression, OCD). I started my career working with employees ranging from retail workers at big box stores to executives. I ended my career assistance with Missouri's crisis line which also served our veterans. I am GLBT friendly and consider myself an ally to many multicultural communities.

My main focus in every session is to make sure you are seen and heard in a way that promotes insight and growth, that we talk about what it is most important to you, that I offer an accurate reflection of the struggles and strengths presented to me. I have been inspired by Acceptance and Commitment Theory, Internal Family Systems Theory and Solution-Focused Theory. I am also well-versed in Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-Based Therapies.

What has been most inspiring is meeting people from all walks of life taking a chance to make a difference in themselves - not only for them but for those they love the most. Finding a therapist that is a good "fit" can be the most important part of the therapy process. Good luck regardless of who you choose!
