About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and with over three years of professional counseling experience in both inpatient and private practice settings. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, anger, grief, relationship issues, life transitions and spirituality. I hold a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University and a Master’s Degree in Bible and Theology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. I am retired from the US Army Military Police, so I understand the issues facing service members, first responders and their families. I have 20 years of experience in Christian ministry and pastoral counseling, which is helpful for people who are struggling with ministry related issues or desire to integrate spirituality into their counseling experience. I work with clients in all stages of life including college students, young couples, health professionals, business owners, public servants, ministers, and those in retirement.

I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for you to have the freedom to be yourself. My desire is to see you overcome obstacles in your life so that you can reach forward to the quality of life you desire and deserve. It is my responsibility to listen, understand, and be helpful to the fullest extent of my professional ability. I use an integrated approach to counseling that includes various theories and techniques tailored to your specific needs. My overall approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps you understand the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I also help clients with an existential approach that examines the deeper issues of the heart and how one finds meaning in life. My goal is to shape the counseling experience that is unique to you and meets your needs of healing and change.

I understand that reaching out for help is a big step for most people. I know you want to get things right. I believe you can. I want to help.

I look forward to working with you!
